How often are courses offered?

PAL courses are generally offered once per month throughout the year, depending on current demand we will schedule additional courses. RPAL courses are taught once or twice per year, we maintain waitlists of interested parties, please contact us if you are interested in an RPAL course and we will contact you when one is scheduled.

PAL (Possession Acquisition License) – $170

The Canadian Firearms Safety Course (PAL) is a requirement for anyone who wants to apply for a Possession and Acquisition License to obtain and own Non-Restricted Firearms and purchase ammunition. This 8-hour course introduces the basics of firearms safety and function, storage and other legal requirements. After instruction, a written exam and practical exam are administered. Please note the course is a full day.

RPAL (Restricted Possession Acquisition License) – $130

The Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course (RPAL) is a requirement for anyone who wants to apply for a Possession and Acquisition License to obtain and own Restricted Firearms. This 6-hour course introduces the basics of firearms safety and function, storage and other legal requirements specific to restricted firearms. After instruction, a written exam and practical exam are administered. This is a 1-day course.

General policies

We accept e-transfer or in certain circumstances, cash or cheque but this must be discussed. Payment must be made ahead of the course, no one is confirmed as registered in a course until payment is received. No refunds are offered as students have taken a spot that cannot necessarily be filled.
